In accordance with FAR Part 12, the Coast Guard intends to award a commercial item, firm fixed price requirements contract with Allison Engine Company or any of its authorized distributors. Contract period will include a base period of three years, with two (2) one-year option periods. First Article Approval of Conversion Kit required. Desired delivery: Nine months ARO with acceptable quantity of 5 each per month. Required delivery: Eighteen months ARO. Delivery of spare parts dependent upon urgency of requirement at delivery order issuance. The Coast Guard requires that the conversion kits and associated spare parts be Allison Engine Company certified parts. The Coast Guard does not own, nor can it provide, drawings or specifications for these items. The solicitation will be issued on or about 25 Sep 1996.
