This equipment is for analyzing the artemisinin group and structurally-related groups of antimalarial drugs using reductive electrochemical detection in an oxygen-impermeable system and includes (1) three mobile phase reservoirs; (2) solenoid proportioning valves; (3) a dual piston pump; (4) a pulse dampener; (5) a column and detector oven; (6) dual thin-layer electrodes with Ag/AgCl reference electrode; (7) Rheodyne injector; (8) BAS Sample Sentinel Robotic Autosampler; (9) Special-Off-Line Data Handling Analysis & Specimen Tracking System; (10) MD-1600 Chromatograph PKA Software. All interested parties may identify their interests, but must provide proof of capability to provide an acceptable product by submitting pricing data, an accurate description of the equipment offered, and make and model numbers of the equipment. Since no solicitation package exists, requests for such documents without accompanying information to establish the vendor's capability of meeting the Government's needs will be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. Only responses containing this data will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will not be made on the basis of responses to this synopsis. If no feasible responses are received by the close of business 30 days from the date this notice appears in the CBD, a contract will be negotiated with the above named source.
