The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), National Institutes of Health, has a requirement to continue the operation of the NIDCD Information Clearinghouse. The purpose of the NIDCD Clearinghouse is to serve as a central, national repository of information about professional, patient, and public education materials and resources, to collect, produce, and disseminate information on the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders of hearing, balance, smell, taste, voice, speech, and language, and to coordinate with organizations and associations with an interest in deafness and other communication disorders to explore networking capabilities, avoid duplication of effort, and identify information gaps. This acquisition represents the recompetition of Contract No. N01-DC-4-2101 with Eagle Design & Management, Inc. A five-year cost- reimbursement type contract is anticipated. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about September 16, 1996. Proposals will be due 45 days after the date of issuance of the solicitation. Copies of the solicitation can be obtained by sending a written request to the Contracting Officer. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Government.
