Project Description: replace roofs for buildings 5 and 7 including (1) complete tearoff of the existing silicone foam roofs, down to structural concrete; (2) removal of skylights and subsequent filling of roof opening; (3) modifications to the mechanical equipment steel supports; (4) repairs to the penthouses' metal siding, and replacement of exterior doors; (5) installation of roofing accessories, such as perimeter nailers, gravel stops, roof drains, flashing and counter flashing, etc.; (6) placement of lightweight insulating concrete fill; (7) installation of new modified bitumen roofing system. There are approximately 1,050 square meters of roof area in Building 5 and 908 square meters in Building 7. Cost range for this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Bid bonds will be required and the successful offeror will be required to provide payment and performance bonds. Solicitation Package 96-168 (N) will be available on or about October 10, 1996.
