Contracting Officer, 805/989-1303. This procurement is for the AQM-37C
Aerial Target Battery kits. The batery kit includes the battery unit,
mounting hardware, and a filling kit with catalyst or electrolyte. The
battery unit is a silver-zinc alkaline battery. The silver will be
Government provided material. The battery is used in the AQM-37C
expendable aerial target. The battery provides primary (28 VDC) and
impulse cartridge (9 VDC) power to the AQM-37C target. The battery must
meet the defined requirements for performance, form factor, and tests
as defined in NAWC Product Performance Specification, Battery, Aerial
Target, WSD-B-0003A. The specification will be provided with the
solicitation. First Article Testing is required. The solicitation will
include a provision for waiver of First Article Testing. If award is
on First Article Testing required basis, the basic contract will be for
a total of 7 each First Article units, First Article Testing, 9 each
Production Lot Sample units, 261 each production units and data.
Delivery of the 7 each First Article units shall be no later than 240
days after contract award. First Article Testing shall be completed no
later than 150 days after contract award. Delivery of the 261 each
production units and the 9 each production lot sample units shall be at
a rate of 29 each production units and 1 each production lot sample
unit per month to begin no later than 120 days after approval of the
First Article Test Report. If award is on First Article Resting waived
basis, the basic contract will be for 9 each Production Lot Sample
units, 261 each production units and data. Delivery of the 261 each
production units and the 9 each production lot sample units shall be at
a rate of 29 each production units and 1 each production lot sample
unit per month to begin no later than 180 days after contract award.
The contract will include three options with each option to include 5
each Production Lot Sample units, 145 each Production units and data.
Delivery of the option units shall be at a rate of 29 each production
units and 1 each production lot sample unit per month to begin no later
than 90 days after exercise of the option. Production lots size is 30
units. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Naval Air Warfare Station,
Point Mugu, CA 93042-5000. For a copy of the solicitation, submit
