This SYNOPSIS is being published for the purpose of notifying prospective offerors that a DRAFT solicitation is being issued for Contractor Maintenance Services(CMS) in support of the Government of Kuwait F/A-18 Aircraft including equipment and weapons. This synopsis and the DRAFT solicitation are being issued in an attempt to develop a full and open competitive environment for the acquisition of CMS for the specific program identified herein should it become an official procurement. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. THIS IS NOT A FORMAL PROCUREMENT AND THEREFORE THERE IS NO SOLICITATION. A DRAFT solicitation will be issued to those offerors who have previously identified an interest pursuant to CBD dtd 7/8/96 as well as to those who respond to this synopsis. This synopsis is seeking Contractor Maintenance Services(CMS) personnel in support of Government of Kuwait F/A-18 program. CMS personnel shall provide in-country support to the following: Kuwait F/A-18 Organizational and Intermediate levels of maintenance, supply support services, quality assurance of maintenance, supply and equipment, On-The Job(OJT), and maintenance/material documentation. Support will provide a workforce that augments existing Kuwait organic personnel. Systems to be supported include but are not limited to: Avionics, airframes, powerplants, aviation life support system, and related support equipment. Firms may respond to the address cited above, indicating an interest in the potential procurement. All work will be accomplished in Kuwait. Currently work is being performed under contract N00140-93-C-AC72. All responses should be directed to Mr. Greg Seifried, Code 0213G at FISC Norfolk Det. Phila., 700 Robbins Ave., Bldg. 2B, Philadelphia, PA 19111-5083. Comments/Questions concerning the DRAFT solicitation are encouraged and invited to be submitted to the address above. Offerors who responded to the previous sources sought synopsis need not respond again. Notice is also given that a pre-solicitation conference/site visit will be conducted in Kuwait. The conference is currently scheduled for 26 Oct 96. Serious offerors are encouraged to attend. Details of the conference and points of contact are included in the DRAFT solicitation. SYN 448.
