(215)697-9612. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk,
Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire, on a sole source basis from
Lockheed-Martin Corporation, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, non-personal
engineering and technical services by qualified Contractor personnel
for the purpose of informing, instructing, and training Department of
Navy personnel in the installation, operation, and maintenance of F-18
FLIR and associated equipment. The requirement is for 24 manmonths of
services for the period 10 April 1997 through 9 April 1998 and will
include an option for an additional 24 manmonths of services for the
period 10 April 1998 through 9 April 1999, as currently estimated by
the Naval Air Engineering Service Unit (NAESU). The requirement will be
covered by a new contract or an extension to an existing contract. The
above requirement details the Government's minimum need for the
period. The solicitation will contain specifications for the effort to
be performed. The place of performance is various Fleet and shore
activities. Lockheed-Martin Corporation, as the Original Equipment
Manufacturer, is the only known source with the required technical and
engineering expertise, in-plant support, and database to perform the
required services. The Government will not pay for information
