FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to issue an extension modification to contract N68836-93-C-0037 with Traction Systems Inc. of Seattle, WA covering the period 01 Oct through 30 November if all options are exercised. The contract covers mess attendant services in support of the Naval Air Station in Mayport, FL. This extension is necessary to bridge the period between the expiration of the current contract and the anticipated start date for the follow-on contract. This extension is being processed under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), only one responsible source as implemented by FAR 6.303-1 since Traction Systems is the only source that can provide services to meet all of the Navy's requirements by 01 Oct 96. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties shall identify their capability to provide the required mess attendant services within 15 days after the date of publication of this notice in order to be considered by the Government.
