34 -- VENTILATION BOOTH SOL N00146-96-R-0051. The Naval Aviation Depot., MCAS, Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for two (2) each ventilation booths capable of capturing paint dust particles produced by sanding operations. The capture velocity in the work zone shall range from 500 feet per minute (fpm) to 800 fpm. The assembled maximum outside dimensions of the booths shall be eight feet wide by 70 feet long by 16 feet high. The booths shall consist of two sections; the booth and the dust collection section. The work area of each booth shall be constructed of 14 gauge carbon steel min., lined with a min. of two inches of sound absorbing material compressed to one inch thick, covered with a white vinyl material, with sealed dust tight florescent lights overhead providing between 70 and 80 foot-candles of light at the work zone.
