This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) 60481. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-40. This solicitation is being issued under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) as described in FAR Part 13.105. The standard industrial classification is 5063. The FBI intends to negotiate a contract to purchase two (2) Remote Intelligent Monitoring and Control Systems, Smart Systems 1500s. This equipment is to be delivered and installed 60 days after award is made to FBI, Engineering Research Facility, Quantico Marine Base, Quantico, VA 22135. All proposals shall be submitted to the address listed above no later than 09/27/96, 4:30pm, EST. Award will be made approximately five (5) days after closing.
