65 -- PHARMACY AUTOMATION EQUIPMENT SOL RFP 600-034-96 DUE 110496 POC Steven J. Covell Provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and transportation to furnish and install an automated pharmacy distribution system that consists of appropriate primary workstations with all necessary components: Receptionist workstation(s), Imaging/Order entry workstations(s), Filling workstation(s), and Checking workstation(s) that are consistent with the size and scope of the individual pharmacy needs. The system(s) are to be installed at the primary Outpatient Pharmacies at the VA Medical Centers located at Loma Linda, CA, Long Beach, CA, West L.A., CA, and Sepulveda, CA. The installation will be accomplished utilizing a design that fits the existing individual pharmacy footprint and will also allow for identification of potential new footprints. Contractor will provide a dedicated engineer to coordinate all aspects of design including, footprinting, staffing, scheduling, equipment analysis, etc.. Source Selection procedures will be utilized in evaluation of vendor proposals. Contract will be made on factors other than price alone. All responsible sources responding to the solicitation will be given consideration. RFP 600-034-96 will be issued o/a 10-3-96. Pre-proposal conference will be held o/a 10-17-96.
