National Naval Medical Center intends to award a sole sourced purchase order to Medtronic, Inc. for pacer-cardioverter defibrillators. The following items will be procured (1) Four (4) each 7220C Jewel Plus Active PCD (Pacer-Cardioverter Defibrillators); (2) Four (4) each 6936-65 PCD leads. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). (250)
