Under the authority of U.S.C. 253(c)(1), Far 6.302-1, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to procure two facscan upgrades from Becton Dickinson, 2350 Qume Dr., San Hosa, California, 95121. The contractor shall furnish and install an upgrade on an existing Facscan Flow Cytometer System manufactured by Becton Dickinson Immunocytometry System. The facstation shall interface and run the existing facscan which is a product of Becton Dickinson. It is the government's belief that the facscan upgrades can only be purchased from Bection Dickinson Immunocytometry Systems. The system being upgraded were purchased from this manufacturer. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, if an interested party believes they can meet the above specification, they must submit their capablities, and furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirements mentioned above. Sources demonstrating the capability to accomplish the above shall supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to perform. Information furnished shall include enough material to perform a proper evaluation.
