The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) is seeking commercial vendors of technology which will track security patrols operating outside the perimeter of air bases during tactical operations. The ideal system would use the Global Positioning System (GPS) in the same manner used to track equipment, packages, vehicles, and prisoners in the transportation and jurisprudence systems. The system sought should be capable of being integrated into existing security surveillance and monitoring systems and communicate via radio frequency RF wavelengths. Interested parties are requested to provide by 30 Sep 96: (1) specification or engineering documents or brochures which describe the capabilities of their commercially available or non-developmental item devices which meet the requirements specified above; (2) cost of these devices, both individually and in quantity; and (3) point(s) of contact who can provide additional information, if required. Based upon the results of this Sources Sought announcement, a solititation may or may not be issued at a later date.
