The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) is seeking commercial vendors of red laser diodes that will provide a minimum power output of 100 milliwatts, 200 milliwatts desired, and will work well in temperatures from -20 degrees to +120 degrees Fahrenheit. These laser diodes will be used in a laser illuminator currently being developed by the Air Force. Interested parties are requested to provide by 30 Sep 1996: (1) specification or engineering documents or brochures which describe the capabilities of their commercially available or non-developmental item devices which meet the requirements specified above; (2) cost of these devices, both individually and in quantity; and (3) point(s) of contact who can provide additional information, if required. Based upon the results of this Sources Sourght announcement, a solicitation may or may not be issued at a later date.
