This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items is prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This constitutes the only solicitation:proposals are being requested and a ''Written Solicitation'' will not be issued. RFP 7025 is issued as a request for proposal and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 90-38. Contractor shall provide E-NET Remote Recovery Data Facility software and support services to include maintenance and training (to include manuals covering installation, operation and use of the software). The FBI requires disaster recovery software capable of host-to-host real time-transmission of journal log data to a remote site. In the event of a disaster, access to critical data is possible within minutes. Must be able to real-time collect, reformat and regenerate ADABAS log-journal and recovery data between primary and remote data centers. The software must be able to acquire CICS and MVS/ESA system update information. Shall transmit system update information and ADABAS log-journal and recovery data via SNA/VTAM communications link protocols to a remmote CPU and recover from temporary communications link failures as well as MVS crashes, ADABAS abends and major SNA/VTAM communications link failures. Contractor shall provide the following support services to the FBI: support the product as current technology over its system life, by providing maintenance and enhancements to the product; provide documentation regarding the installation, operation and use of the product; provide training at an FBI site for use of the product; provide telephonic consultation support (i.e., a ''hotline'') on an ''as needed'' basis. Contractor personnel who will require access to National Security Information (NSI) and will require access to equipment used to process NSI and who perform services at FBI facilities on a continuing basis will require a DISCO Top Secret clearance and authorization from FBI Security Programs Manager. The contractor must supply the FBI with employee names, properly executed Questionnare for Sensitive Position (SF-86) and two fingerprint cards (FD-258) for each employee requiring such access. The FBI will be the final adjudicator of access authorization. The FBI will maintain a list of contractor employees who have been authorized access.
