Ms. Christine Cox at the number and e-mail address stated above. The
I-95 Corridor Coalition, representing one of four priority ITS
Corridors, is requesting proposals for two operational tests. The first
one is: Traveler Information Services in the Northeast Corridor: A
Business Test of Public/Private Collaboration. The goal of this optest
is to provide useful traffic and travel related information to
inter-regional travelers in a representative portion of the Northeast
Corridor based on combinations of existing data with new supplemental
data. RFP Release date is September 9, 1996. Proposal due date is
November 8, 1996. The second one is: Open Ended ITS Operational Tests.
The goal of this test is to provide the Coalition with a series of ITS
Operational Test projects that will advance its overall mission. The
Operational Test projects may relate to any of the primary ITS User
Services, other than those included under the category of Advanced
Vehicle Control and Safety Systems. Primary functional areas where
Operational Tests are desired pertain to the following: Travel and
Transportation Management, Travel Demand Management, Public
Transportation Operations, Electronic Payment, Commercial Vehicle
Operations, and Emergency Management. RFP Release date is September 29,
