This requirement, previously issued under RFP # DAAH01-96-R-0070, is restricted to Hughes Aircraft Company, Aerospace & Defense Sector, Bldg A02, MS 1C270, P.O. Box 9399, Long Beach, CA 90810-0466. The basic modification effort consists of one lot of existing hardware to be modified to a single configuration baseline by incorporating selected engineering changes to improve reliability and maintainability. The hardware to be modified consists of the following: TOW 2 Test Controller; TOW 2 Day/Night Sight Collimator; TOW 2 Basic Sight Assembly - Support Equipment Control Unit; and TOW 2 Basic Sight Assembly - Support Equipment Holding Fixture. The period of performance is within 48 months after contract award -- 36 months after contract award for completion of the basic effort; and a 12-month (incrementally funded) option period for T2SS-SE Block 1 Modification Application. A synopsis is issued for the primary purposes of improving small business access to contracting and subcontracting opportunities.
