The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Mid-Atlantic Regional Contracting Office, Lexington, Kentucky, seeks qualified organizations capable of providing inpatient/outpatient medical services for federal prisoners at the Federal Correctional Institutional, Ashland, Kentucky. The contractor shall furnish facilities, equipment and personnel necessary for medical care. The guaranteed minimum/estimated maximum requirements for inpatient services is as follows: 60 inpatient days/350 inpatient days. Location of the facility must be within a 30-mile radius of the Federal Correctional Institution. The contractor shall provide appropriately trained and licensed physicians to perform on-site sessions at the Federal Correctional Institution/Federal Prison Camp. These on-site services shall include the following, with the guaranteed minimum/estimated maximum number of sessions for each. Generally a session is equal to one (1) hour. Allied Health Technician, 1220 hours/1524 hours; Audiology Services, 60 hours/72 hours; Cardiology Services, 30 hours/36 hours; Dental Assistant Services, 1220 hours/1524 hours; Dermatology Services, 20 hours/24 hours; Dietician Services, 60 hours/72 hours; Family Practice Physician Services, 160 hours/208 hours; General Surgery Services, 75 hours/96 hours; Gastroenterology Medicine Services, 40 hours/48 hours; Medical Assistant Services, 1220 hours/1524 hours; Neurology Services, 20 hours/24 hours; Opthamology Services, 20 hours/24 hours; Optometry Services, 115 hours/144 hours; Orthopedic Services, 75 hours/96 hours; Pharmacist Services, 125 hours/160 hours; Pharmacy Technician Services, 1220 hours/1524 hours; Physical Therapy Services, 10 hours/12 hours; Psychiatric Services, 60 hours/72 hours; Urology Services, 20 hours/24 hours; X-Ray Technician Services, 1220 hours/1524 hours. The Standard Industrical Code for this acquisition is 8062. The proposed contract period will be a base year plus four (4) one-year options, for a total of five years; (Base Year: Date of contract award through 12 months; Option Year One: 13 months through 24 months; Option Year Two: 25 months through 36 months; Option Year Three: 37 months through 48 months; and Option Year Four: 37 months through 60 months).All qualifed contractors are encouraged to submit a proposal for this requirement. Multiple award of contracts is anticipated. Contractors are advised that award can be made without the benefit of discussions, and are encouraged to submit initial proposals to reflect all of the requirements of the solicitation.
