576-2321. Lockheed Martin Energy Systems, Inc., acting for and on
behalf of the U.S. Government as represented by the U.S. Department of
Energy under its Prime Contract No. DE-AC05-84OR21400 is offering for
sale U. S. Government-owned inventories of fluorine cells. The
fluorine cells are categorized in the following manner: ``Operable
Cells'', the cells should be able to produce fluorine in their present
condition. All are full of electrolyte. ``Needs Service Cells'', these
cells are full of electrolyte but contain varying degrees of damage to
internal components, i.e., broken anodes, holes in skirts, damaged
diaphragms, etc.. Some amount of maintenance will be required to repair
the cells to operable conditions. ``Needs Service Cells-Empty of
Electrolyte'', these cells have varying degrees of damage to internal
components and contain a small heel of solidified electrolyte sludge or
no sludge. Some amount of maintenance will be required to repair the
cells to operable conditions. NOTE: Eleven (11) cells contain
approximately 2'' to 12'' heel of solidified electrolyte sludge, and
seven (7) cells do not contain sludge. ``Holding Tanks'', these tanks
are very similar to the cells, however they do not contain the internal
components of the gas piping. One is full of electrolyte and the other
contains approximately 10'' of electrolyte. The weights of the cells
are as follows: Empty between 6,000 lbs. - 7,000 lbs. Full between
9,000 lbs - 10,000 lbs. Pictures and drawings are available upon
