The work includes construction of a 25,000 square foot (approximate) building to provide aircraft maintenance and administrative facilities to support KC-135 aircraft fuel cell maintenance. The project consists of a single position hangar bay, shops and offices, and adjacent fire water pumping and storage building. Associated site work includes an aircraft access ramp, vehicular roads and parking areas and associated underground utilities. The work includes, but is not limited to, concrete slabs and foundations, auger cast piles, structural steel framing, fabricated trusses, steel joists; metal roof and floor decks, masonry interior and exterior walls, rough and finish carpentry, waterproofing, insulation, prefished metal wall and roof systems, steel doors, frames and hardware, motor-operated hangar doors, glazing, interior furnishes and finishes, fall protection systems, plumbing, fire protection systems (wet pipe sprinklers, AFFF systems and fire detection/alarm systems), heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, and electrical systems, including power, lighting, communication, security, lightning protection and special systems. Site and utility work includes, but is not limited to, an aircraft ramp extension from the existing apron, lighting (security and ramp illumination), vehicular parking and access roads connecting to existing roads and personnel sidewalks. Site utilities include but are not limited to: storm drainage systems, sanitary sewer systems, fire and domestic water systems, natural gas systems, electrical systems including power, telephone and communications, fire water storage tanks and an underground AFF containment/retention struction. This solicitation will be issued as an unrestricted procurement. Estimated construction cost range is $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. The performance period is 420 calendar days.
