Virginia, 22082-8150 63 -- SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS FOR USE IN CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIVE SYSTEMS

is seeking sources and qualification statements from firms who can
show the capabilities to design, install, maintain and support the
criminal investigative surveillance systems in over 300 postal
facilities nationwide. As a minimum, these surveillance systems shall
include high quality video systems integrated with automated tracking
cameras, microprocessor based matrix switcher, recording and monitoring
equipment. It will be coupled with an automated test tracking system.
The system should include a computer based mapping system which can
control the call up and positioning of cameras. Consideration will be
given to track type camera as well as dome type camera system or any
conbination. The test tracking system will be based on a
Radio-Frequency identification (RFID) system working wither passively
and/or actively and will be a fully integrated with the Closed Circuit
Television (CCTV) portion of the system. The systems will be sized
accordingly to be installed in facilities as small as 6500 square feet
and as large as 800,000 square feet. We are seeking qualification
statements from only those firms who can adequately demonstrate the
following capabilities (1) ability to design and manufacture this type
of system, (2) large scale deployment experience and capabilities; and
(3) the resources to support the installation of 20 systems per year.
(This does not guarantee that the Postal Service will install this
quantity each year). Only those firms who are determined to be
qualified will be considered for any resulting contracts. Interested
firms should prepare a summary of their qualifications, including the
most recent financial statements, not to exceed twenty (20)
single-sided pages, which must demonstrate that they possess the
capabilities described above. The qualification statement must be
submitted in an original and three (3) copies to the address above no
