Capron, Purchasing Agent, (303) 236-8040 ext. 233 Presolicitation Notice --The proposed acquisition will provide a mercury analyzer system in the Denver office. This is a brand name or equal requirement. If an equal is used, a complete description and explanation is required. The system will include these salient characteristics: 1. Auto sampler xyz drive mechanism and electronics, rack base, three sample racks holding 60 test tubes each and one standards rack holding 16 large tubes, interface, interface cable, sample probe and connecting tube. 2. Vapor Generator includes high stability flow system, peristaltic pump, metering valve, gas flow controllers, gas/liquid separator, drying assembly and computer actuation. 3. Omnion software includes Windows 3.1-based multitasking software to perform control, data acquisition and report generation. 4. Atomic fluorescence detector includes mercury vapor discharge lamp, atom cell, photomultiplier tube and selection controls for peak read mode, integration speed and calibration. The mercury detection limit is crucial and must be 4 parts-per trillion. 5. Data system is a Pentium P5- 120Mhz with 1.2GB hard drive, 16M RAM, 2 serial ports, one parallel port, bus mouse, MS-DOS v6.2, Windows 3.1 or Windows 95, SVGA 15 inch monitor and a HP Deskjet 600C printer. 6. Accessories kit includes pump tube adapters, pump tubing, PTFE reaction Tygon tubing, transmission tubing, nipples, gas regulator, coupling connector and drying tube. 7. Installation includes a half day component setup and verification. This is not a substitution for training. 8. Training for two people on system installation, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting. 9. Atomic Absorption detector includes dual beam absorption detector, 150mm quartz flow cell and temperature-stabilized mercury discharge lamp. Delivery requirements are within 30 days of award date.
