purpose of this contract is to conduct studies to evaluate Dioxin Toxic
EquivalencyFactors, to include receiving test chemicals, performing
bulk chemical reanalysis, validating thedose formulation analysis
methods, addressing all health and safety concerns necessary toconduct
these studies, and preparing and submitting a prestart chemistry
report for all Taskchemistry and health and safety. The base contract
shall include the prestart activities for TCDD,PeCDD, PeCDF, PCB 126,
PCB 153, a binary mixture, and a mixture. The subsequent awardwill
consist of a base contract (Tasks 1 through 7 and options to conduct
2-year studies for thetest chemicals/mixtures (Tasks 8-14). A cost
reimbursement (completion type) contract award isanticipated. The
estimated level of effort for the base contract is 1,085 direct labor
hours, and109,850 for all options. It is expected that the contract
will be awarded by May 30, 1997 withthecontract to expire by December
30, 2000. The expected release date of the RFP is September30, 1996.

is made, a streamlined version of theRFP will be provided. The
streamlined version includes only the Statement of Work, deliverableand
reporting requirements, special requirements and mandatory
