Description: The contractor shall provide all parts, labor, tools, equipment, and materials, to install seven (7) roof mounted Air Condtioning units on three (3) Government buses. Work shall include but is not limited to: furnishing and installing Air Conditioning units with generators for additional power, and additional electrical systems and wiring as needed to function properly. 29 passenger buses shall have 2 A/C units and the 45 passenger bus shall have 3 A/C units. Wiring diagrams shall be provided to the Government upon completion. The buses will be delivered by Nellis personnel. The contractor will be notified one day prior to the delivery of the vehicles. The delivery of vehicles will be made no further than 30 miles from the base. If the Contractor's facility is beyond 30 miles of the Base, the Contractor will be responsible for pick up and delivery of the vehicle. The Air Conditioning units must meet EPA standards and will be inspected and accepted upon completion. Any rework shall be accomplished at no cost to the Government. The contractor shall have two (2) days to correct any discrepancies identified. The contractor shall sign a receipt for each vehicle on a DD 1149, ''Requisition and Invoice/Shipping Document'' provided by the Government. A standard commercial warranty shall apply. The contractor shall be responsible for all permits and fee requirements in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Period of performance will be twenty (20) working days for each vehicle. Offerors will bid on the following items: CLIN 0001, Air Conditioning Units, 7 EA., 13,500 BTU. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This annoucement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation (F26600-96-QR460) is issued as a Request for Quotation. This procurement is reserved for small business concerns, utilizing the size standard in FAR 19 under Standard Industrial Code 5531. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial applies to this solicitation. Wage Determination: Pursuant to the Service Contract Act of 1965, As amended, Wage Determination No. 94-2331, Revision 6, Dated 4/23/1996 will apply to the solicitation/contract. Award will be based on the lowest price bid from a responsible contractor in accordance with FAR 9.104-1.
