Earnest, (717)267-9753, ext 260. The Government intends to accept an available manufacturer's option to purchase with lease credits applied a John Deere Model 410D Backhoe. The price to be paid for the buyout of this equipment is $37,432.00. No solicitation is anticipated unless a supplier identifies themselves as being capable of supplying the equipment at a lesser price than that which is currently available through this rental option. Responses submitted to this Notice of Intent must clearly indicate that the price offered would be more favorable to the Government and must clearly indicate that the equipment would meet the minimum salient characteristics of the specified model of equipment. Responses must be in writing and will be disregarded should they fail to fully answer the issues addressed within this advertisement of intent. Written response must be received by this office not later than ten (10) working days after issuance of this publication. Further action with any response will only be taken if clear and convincing documentation indicates that it is more advantageous to the Government to consider other than the contemplated action. In the absence of an evaluated better offer Purchase Order DAAC67-95-M-3284 will be modified to purchase from Foster Wineland. This is an intent to acquire, therefore, a solicitation document is not available. (0254)
