R -- CFA ENGINEERING SERVICES SOL N00164-96-R-0158 POC Contact point, Roger Brett Code 1163WH, 812-854-5269 fax 812- 854-1841 Contracting Officer Richard Colvin This procurement is for engineering services to increase reliability, improve performance, and reduce acquisition costs for the Communications & Power Industries' AN/SPY-1A, AN/SPY-1B/D Crossed Field Amplifier (CFA) design and NAVSEA Drawing 53711- 6155761. The contractor shall furnish all labor, facilities, material and equipment required to perform the tasks as described in the Government's Statement of Work unless otherwise stated in the delivery order. Data will be obtained with unlimited rights in accordance with Contract Data Requirements List, DD Form 1423-1. The period of performance will be three years for the basic contract with two one year options. This is a sole source procurement to CPI Inc., Beverly, MA. CPI is the only contractor which has in-depth knowledge of the design of this CFA, in the areas of proprietary assembly techniques, brazing techniques, manufacturing processes, piece part designs and in the unique and specialized test equipment required to perform CFA testing.
