The VA Medical Center, West Los Angeles, 11301 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90073, is contemplating the award of a SOLE SOURCE contract with Gib Kerr to teach and deliver customized presentations of Trust Assertion Listening and Knowing (T.A.L.K.) and The Secrets of Communication'' to over (2400) employees at this medical center as part of the Change Plan for development of customer service skills and courtesy for a ''critical mass'' of employees. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The total level of effort is approximately (2000) hours for the period of (1) year (September 26, 1996 through September 30, 1997). One of the primary roles of this training is to establish new communication techniques. The contractor will be responsible for implementation of presentation activities, books, supplies, developing training materials and visual aids, organizing agendas, development of documentation such as reports of progress and outcomes. There will be approximately seventy (70) workshops. The applicable SIC for this procurement action is SIC#8299. All responsible sources shall submit concise documentation as to their ability of having thorough knowledge of T.A.L.K. Respondents to this announcement shall fully explain their capability to provide these services and should carefully explain their knowledge, have ten (5)plus years experience of delivery of T.A.L.K. in medical settings, have ability to customize T.A.L.K. for this medical center, (3) years public speaking, seminars, and workshop, and have (5) most recent publications. Respondents are encourage to submit all other supporting literature they consider relevant.
