Laboratory (NRL) has a requirement for research and development to
formulate, manufacture, evaluate, test and apply polymeric materials
for marine applications. Principle areas of research include (a)
formulation, evaluation, testing and application of fluoropolymer
materials, (b) studies on the interaction of high energy radiation with
polymeric materials, (c) technology assessment for sonar rubber domes
and sonar dome rubber windows, (d) evaluation of new materials
technologies, and (e) evaluation of analytical technologies. Major
portions of the work are to be conducted at the NRL. Offerors must
possess an expertise and successful track record in the formulation,
characterization, field testing (ships, aircraft, shore installations),
and evaluation of polymeric materials. DOD Secret Clearance is
required. The period of performance for the contract is three (3) years
with two one (1) year options. This procurement is 100% small business
set aside. The request for proposal (RFP) will close 30 days after
