D -- ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE DATABASE SOL 97-12(N) POC Contact Patrick Gourley at (404)842-6719 Purchase custom databases on selected antibiotic pharmaceutical products to be accessed from IMS databases: Drug Distribution Database (DDD) and National Diagnostic and Therapeutic Index (NDTI)for the most current 1 year period available. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS TO BE ACQUIRED: The DDD includes information on all drug sales nationwide. Antimicrobial sales are characterized by class and agent, source(pharmacy, hospital, HMO, clinic), zip code and cost. The NDTI includes information from over 35,000 outpatient visits to almost 3,000 physicians nationwide. Variables in each patient record include the diagnosis, visit frequency, time since last visit, drug prescribed, dose, length of therapy, physician characteristics and patient characteristics. Data available will be current within three months of date of the award. Up to 24 hours training in the use of the databases will be provided within six months from award. Solicitation 97-12(N)will be issued approximately October 02, 1996 to IMS America Ltd, 660 W. Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462 on a sole source basis. IMS America Ltd. Is the only known firm capable of providing the above requirement.
