This synopsis supercedes the synopsis bearing the same Request for Proposal Number (RFP) published in the Commerce Business Daily, July 13, 1995 and another subsequent publication dated, November 29, 1995, titled ''Technical Assistance and Training to Build Local Capacity for Economic Development Components of Local Community Development Block Grant Programs.'' Since the original mailing list will be used, all interested parties that requested a copy of the RFP under either of the prior synopses need not resubmit a letter of request. The Department of Housing and Urban Development is seeking proposals for the establishment and operation of an ongoing program to provide a combination of direct technical assistance, training workshops, conferences, ets. The overall objective is to provide support and assistance in the area of national economic housing, and community development. The specific purpose of this project is to build the capacity of grantees, potential grantees and program participants in various programs existing under HUD's Office of Community Planning and Development. These programs may be related but not necessarily limited to: Community Development Block Grants, HOME, Supportive Housing and Comprehensive Housing and Development Organizations or CHDO's. One or more indefinite quantity contracts may be awarded as a result of this solicitation with a performance period of 48 months. The solicitation will be available on or about October 2, 1996. All interested parties who have not previously requested the RFP may obtain a copy of this solicitation by submitting a written request along with two self-addressed mailing labels to the above address.
