Fish & Wildlife Service, Region 2, seeks bids for renovation of the
electrical distribution system at Willow Beach National Fish Hatchery
in Willow Beach, Arizona. Willow Beach is located on the east side of
the Colorado River on Highway 93, 14 miles south of Hoover Dam. The
work consists of installation of: a new secondary service from the
existing hatchery service entrance equipment to residences and trailer
pads and pump house; a new grounding system; nameplate labeling
system; a new secondary service from the existing Hatchery service
entrance equipment to exterior fish tanks and two Hatchery buildings.
It includes removal of: existing underground and overhead secondary
electrical service to residences, pads, pump house building, exterior
fish tanks, and other Hatchery buildings. The estimated price range is
between $100,000 and $250,000. Bid, performance, and payment bonds
will be required. This is open to both small and large businesses. Due
to the extreme safety hazard with the current system, this project has
a short turnaround time. Under FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling
Urgency, this project does not need to be advetised in the CBD; but in
an effort to foster competition, it is being advertised but with a
turnaround time less than the 45-60 days normally allowed. Interested
