The Dahlgren Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, VA is soliciting proposals for a fixed price contract for the manufacture and test ofone hundred sixty (160) special purpose electrical cable assemblies with the option to procure up to fifty (5) additional cables based on the availability of funds. The cable assembly provides an interface between an AN/PSN-11 GPS Receiver (PLGR) and a Position Location Reporting System (PLRS) Basic User Unit (BUU). The cable assembly shall be manufactured and tested in accordance with the statement of work (SOW) and technical data package. The cable assembly consists of two twisted pair with overall shield contained in a polyurethane jacket with connectors at both ends. A twenty-five pin subminiature connector with a polyurethane molded right angle body and internal shield termination is located at one end. A circular connector with a polyurethane molded backshell and internal shield termination is located at the other end. The cable assembly is identified with two marker bands located at both ends. Acceptance testing of all production cable assemblies shall consist of circuit and insulation resistance testing and shall be performed by the contractor. Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) and temperature testing shall be performed by the Government on cable assemblies contained in the first production lot of ten (10). After successful Government testing, the contractor shall commence with the production of the remaining cable assemblies.
