The FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 reagent system supplies/services for Naval Hospital Groton from Abbot Laboratories. The proposed fixed price contract shall consist of provision of one Axsym analyzer and supplies shall be provided. The supplies will be in accordance with a staggered delivery schedule that varies for each item. The services will be required from 1 Oct 96 through 30 Sep 97 under a firm fixed price contract. The solicitation shall be issued in accordance with the procedures outlined in FAR Part 12, Commercial Items, and the closing date of the resultant RFP shall be 15 days after issuance. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or to submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement.
