National Naval Medical Center intends to award a sole sourced purchase order to Baxter Healthcare Corporation, Fenwall Division, for the following item. (1) One (1) each CS-3000 Plus Blood Cell Separator. The Blood Bank Division requires consistency in utilizing the Baxter 4R2230 apheresis collection kits provided by separate contract and compatibility with currently owned Baxter Fenwal CS3000 and CS3000 Plus Blood Cell Separators. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). (254)
