Telefax responses welcome This is a combined synopsis/Request for Quotation (RFQ) for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included inthis notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a writtenRFQ will not be issued. Prices preferred as FOB Destination to Andrews AFB, MD. Vendors quotingother than FOB Destination must include all freight and shipping charges with the quotation at the time ofthe offer. Responses to this RFQ must be received by 26 Sep 96, 2 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. Deliveryand Finance addresses will be provided upon award. Award is to be based upon price and other factors inaccordance with FAR Clause 52.212-2 and as specified in descending order of importance: 1. PastPerformance with regard to the offerors ability to obtain, install, configure and maintain the equipment inthe time specified. 2. Technical capability and quality of the items offered. and 3. Price. PastPerformance and technical quality rate considerably higher the price. Offerors are required to documentpast performance suitably and provide opportunity for verification. Award will be in the aggregate on andall or none basis. SPECIFICATIONS/STATEMENT OF WORK: Upgrade Remote Access Server to improve access to the Andrews Office Network located on AndrewsAFB, Maryland. The Contractor shall provide services, materials and equipment necessary to upgrade the existing remoteaccess server in order to achieve acceptable remote user access to Andrews Office Network. This includesthe design, implementation and support of a Win Frame system. To achieve optimal performance, Win Frame must be fully optimized on the server. Including all patches,configuration of all system utilities, security definitions and proper environment set-up. Operationalchanges must incldue, but, not be limited, to the following: protocol stacks, intelligent I/O board, log inscripts and kernel resource configuration. Contractor must supply the following: Citrix certification of any engineer to work on the installation andreferencable WinFrame installations. Server Specifications: Dual Pentium Processor 200Mhz Rackmount Server, Compac Proliant or equal consisting of the following:Dual Pentium Pro 200 Mhz, 256MB RAM, 1.44 MB FDD Fast/Wide SCSI Controller, Quad Speed CDROM, 4GB SCSI Fast/Wide HDD, 1MB PCI graphics adapter, Equinox 16 Line High Speed serial I/Ocontroller w/power supply, Dual FDDI NIC, 14 color monitor, Enchanced 101 keyboard, Mouse, 2-wayswitch Modems: Multitech or equal 28.8 v.34 modem with 6 foot cable, CC1600 Modem cage w/power supply,PS 1600 redundant power supply Software: WinFrame 15 user server license Ingration and Installation: Contractor shall make every effort to avoid conflict with Andrews AFB on-going demand control efforts, to include scheduling work during off-peak demand periods (6PM-12AM)and maintaining existing system operation during installation up to the point of seitch over to new system.All work will be in accordance with the National Electric Code and manufacturers instructions.Recommended spare parts list shall be supplied to the government. Installation to be turn-key.Training Requirements: Training shall include 1. proper system start-up and shutdown, 2. Troubleshootingand diagnostics of all contractor supplied hardware, and 3.
