The contractor shall provide one (1) High Power Laser System. The laser shall be a Q-switched, solid state Nd:YAG with the following salient characteristics: The laser shall have a high energy output ()2joule) at 1064 nm per pulse single frequency with a repetition rate of up to 10 Hz. Pulse-to-Pulse energy stability ( 3%; The laser shall also be capable of being discharged in single shot mode; Operational pulse width shall be 8-10 ns nominal FWHM; Alignment pulse width (non Q-switched) )100 us FWHM; The laser shall interface to IEEE-488 and RS-232 communication lines; Flashlamp lifetime shall exceed 25 million pulses as measured by a pulse counter (included); Flashlamp replacement shall not require disassembly of resonator; The Laser system shall have nitrogen purge to eliminate water absorption within laser enclosure; Cooling shall be water to water heat exchange with a flow no greater than 1 gallon per minute. The contractor shall deliver, assemble, install, and make fully operational at the Army Research Laboratory's main site in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. In addition to the industry standard one (1) year warranty that includes parts and labor, the contractor shall provide an additional one (1) year warranty that includes parts and labor from date of installation. The Government will pay for the extra one (1) year warranty. Delivery date to be no earlier than March, 1997 unless agreed upon by the Government Representative.
