Announcement for Radiologically Contaminated PCB Solid Waste Treatment.
Lockheed Martin Energy Systems, Inc., managing contractor to the U.S.
Department of Energy (DOE), seeks Expressions of Interest for the
treatment of approximately 15,712 containers (115,326 cu. ft) of
radiologically contaminated PCB solid waste currently in storage at the
Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant, Piketon, Ohio. Treatment would be
in accordance with all requirements of the Toxic Substances Control Act
(TSCA) and applicable DOE Orders. Interested companies are requested to
submit technical information regarding their capabilities to Jo Anna
Cole, Lockheed Martin Energy Systems, Inc., Portsmouth Gaseous
Diffusion Plant, P.O. Box 628, Piketon, OH 45661. Responses are
required by October 30, 1996. We anticipate the issuance of a formal
Request for Proposal to interested/capable firms at a later date, and
the period of performance would be for approximately three years.
