Osborne, Contract Specialist, 208-526-0093; Brad Bauer, Contracting Officer, 208-526-0090 The U.S. Department Of Energy is planning to fund a geothermal heat pump profitability analysis and is soliciting interest and capabilities. One of the goals is to develop a ''proforma'' profitability analysis for major geothermal heat pump (GHP) programs designed to capture: annual sales of 10-25,000 GHP's per year for the larger utilities, strong market share penetration on excess of 20% in selected markets, and energy service companies (ESCO's) which emphasize GHP's. Based on the result of the 'proforma', a second phase may be funded to work with utilities and/or ESCO's to assist in designing a profitable GHP program. This announcement is not a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The written quotations will be available October 3, 1996.
