On Friday, 27 September 1996 at the Johns Hopkins University/Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL) Kossiakoff Conference and Education Center, Johns Hopkins Road, Laurel, MD, the U.S. Navy Twenty First Century Surface Combatant (SC-21) Program Office in conjunction with the National Security Industrial Association will present a Secret brief to update Industry on program status and the SC-21 plans for FY-97. The meeting will also initiate a series of periodic industry briefs to establish a Government/Industry dialog on SC-21 development and programmatic challenges. The brief will cover the following topics: * Current Program Status * COEA Status * System Threat Assessment Report (STAR) * Ship Signature Requirements * Technology Transition * Design Concepts. An industry panel will then address issues of interest regarding the SC-21, such as acquisition approaches, key enabling technologies, and innovative life-cycle support concepts.
