The Federal Burau of Prisons is seeking to establish a national contract for 9mm autoloader pistols. The Contractor shall provide 9mm autoloader pistols to various Federal Prison System locations throughout the United States and Puerto Rico on an as needed basis. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be issued on or about November 21, 1996. Estimated bid opening date is January 7, 1997. The anticipated term of the contract includes a one-year base period, and four one-year option periods. The estimated quantities for the base period 725 each and 348 each for each subsequent option period. The performance period shall be a base period of 04/02/97 through 04/01/98, Option Period One shall be 04/02/98 through 04/01/99, Option Period Two shall be 04/02/99 through 04/01/00, Option Period Three shall be 04/02/00 through 04/01/01, and Option Period Four shall be 04/02/01 through 04/02/02. All responsible source meeting the requirements listed in the solicitation may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This solicitation is anticipated to result in a single award, Firm Fixed Price, Requirements type contract. All requests for solicitations must be in writing. No collect calls will be accepted.
