16 -- IT IS INTENDED TO PROCURE CETS PERSONNEL AND ON-CALL CETS PERSONNEL IN SUPPORT OF THE AN/USM-636A(V)2 ELECTRO-OPTICAL SYSTEM CONFIGURATION AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT SOL N00140-96-Q-3792 POC Greg Seifried, Contract Negotiator, (215)697-9736. Contractor Engineering and Technical Services (CETS) in support of the following aircraft, aircraft weapons systems, airframes, associated equipment and/or other equipment as follows: Consolidated Automated Support System(CASS) Electro-Optical configuration and associated equipment. The proposed procurement is for 15 man months of services as currently estimated by Naval Aviation Engineering Service Unit (NAESU). The proposed effort will commence on 01 Dec 96 and will run through 30 Sep 97. This effort will be covered by a new contract. This period covers the Government's minimum needs for this period. The solicitation will contain specification for Contractor Field Service representatives and other representatives (i.e., AFR, LSR) as appropriate. The place of performance is various Fleet and Shore Activities and are specified in the solicitation. The eventual contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Lockheed-Martin under the authority of FAR 6-302.1. Lockheed-Martin is the only supplier of these services at this time. This firm is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and the only known source with the required technical and engineering expertise, ''in-plant'' support, and requisite data base to perform the required services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. SEE Note 22. In accordance with Note 22, interested parties should submit, within forty-five (45) days from the publication of this notice, specific factual data, including but not limited to: technical resumes, corporate management experience, and other pertinent information as so desired, to be used as an evaluation basis to determine competence to successfully perform the required services.
