93 -- NIGHT VISION CAPABLE DYED PLASTICS SOL N00421-96-R-1385 DUE 102896 POC Mike Rock, Contract Specialist, Code 264MR, (301) 342-1825, ext 147 Doris Browder, Contracting Officer, Code 264DB. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) has a sole source requirement for Korry Electronics for Night Vision Capable Dyed Plastic to cover displays in the F-14 aircraft. The dyed plastic material shall be in the following quantities and sizes: 1) Fifty-five (55) 7'' x 11'' sheets with a thickness of 1 mm (0.040 inches) that are Green B, Class A Coated; Manufacturers Part Number - Q7-R-07001100; 2) One hundred ninety-two (192) filters for the Tactical Information Displays (TID) that are circular in shape with a diameter of 9.20'' +/- .02'' and 0.050'' thick. There shall a notch cut on each side of the center line, 0.75'' from the center line. The notches shall be 0.24'' +/- 0.03'' deep as measured from a line drawn tangent to the edge x 0.050'' x concave geometry with Anti-reflective (AR) coating; Manufacturers Part Number N0015-001; 3) Five (5) filters for the Heads Up Display (HUD) with measurements of 5.000'' x 3.275'' x .040''. The upper corners shall be cut as a pentagon with measurements of .860'' (along the 5.000'' dimension) x .813'' (along the 3.275'' Dimension) x .25'' (along the 3.275'' Dimension) x .200'' (along the 5.000'' Dimension). The radius on the inner corners of the pentagon shall be a minimual as possible. The bottom edge shall be cut at a 40 degree angle. An Anti-reflective coating shall be applied to both sides. Manufacturers Part Numbers - N0004-001 and N0005-001, and 4) One Hundred twelve (112) Sensor Slave panel filters with measurements of 4.90'' x .775'' x 0.040'' that have a bevel of .0401'' x .025'' in two (2) places along the 4.90'' dimension. An Anti-reflective coating shall be applied to both sides. Manufacturers Part Number - N0034-001. The Dyed Plastic materials shall meet the following requirements: 1) Thermoplastic-machinable and Thermo-formable, 2) MIL-L-85762A, Class A, conformance with specified light source, 3) Withstand a continous temperature of 140 degree Celsius and an intermittent temperature of 170 degree Celsius. Delivery shall be made twenty (20) weeks after contract award to NAWCAD Patuxent River, MD. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.301 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole source basis with Korry Electronics 901 Dexter Avenue North Seattle, WA 98109-3536.
