99 -- BID-SETS ON CD ROM Sol AR336. POC Ed Brewster. Bid Sets on CD-ROM This is Note A Solicitation: As our part of an Air Force initiative to provide digitized engineering data to contractors for bidding purposes, sal-alc will begin providing Bid Sets on CD-ROM media starting 01 Oct 96. CD-ROM disks containing Bid Sets will be identified by National Stock Number (NSN), Part Number (P/N), and PR number along with the SA-ALC logo on the CD. The CD will also have printed Bid Set viewer installation instructions on the face of the CD and contain a readme file with more-in-depth instructions. The CD's will contain the AT&T Image Display and Access Software (IDAS) viewing portion of the software in order to enable contractors to view and print the engineering data contained on the CD's. In order to access the data on the CD-ROM, it is recommended that contractors have a Personal Computer (PC) with a CD-ROM Drive capable of viewing from 50 to over 100 images that may be on a Bid Set.
