The purpose of the proposed acquisition is to obtain field engineering and fleet support services, a depot level repair facility, system spares and repair parts, technical training, and system documentation. The proposed contractor is Datatape, Inc. 605 East Huntington Drive, Monrovia, CA. The High Density Digital Recording subsytem for the AN/BQH-9(V)1 Signal Data Recording System is based on a model that was designed and patented by Datatape, Inc, nd therefore there is no other known source that can provide the required services. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 30 November 1996, with the receipt of proposal due 45 days thereafter. See Note 22. (0257)
