labor, transportation, materials, equipment and supervision necessary
to perform interior and exterior painting of various structures both
residential and non-residential located at Great Lakes, Ft. Sheridan,
and Glenview, IL and other various locations within a 100 mile radius
of Great Lakes, IL. Prior to painting, the contractor shall perform
repairs such as demolition, wood repair, and glass replacement, surface
preparation such as scraping, sanding, caulking, reglazing, and other
similar work to facilitate the painting of various interior and
exterior surfaces. Also included in the scope of work is the testing,
removal, and disposal of lead-containing paint. The proposed contract
will be for a period of one year with the option to extend for one
additional year. The option will be exercised at the discretion of the
Government if it is determined that the exercising is in the
Government's best interest. The solicitation will be issued as 8(a)
competitive and shall be limited to 8(a) firms serviced by the SBA's
Chicago District Office which have SIC Code 1542 among their approved
SIC codes. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. The
size standard for this SIC code is $17.0M. Estimated cost range for
this project is between $1.0 millon and $5.0 millon. Copies of this
