C -- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - A-E SERVICES FOR REPAIR AND ALTERATIONS TO BUILDING 511 AT THE NAVAL WARFARE ASSESSMENT DIVISION, CORONA CA SOL N68711-96-R-3478. The Simplified Acquisition Procedure will require the design of and preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates for the purpose of bidding and construction for Repairs and Alterations of Building 511 at the Naval Warfare Assessment Division, Corona, CA. Design services shall include but are not limited to; Feasibility Study for a new Video Tele-Conference (VTC) Center including architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical requirements, siesmic analysis of the existing building and a siesmic analysis for conversion of the stage and balcony area to the VTC with new mezzanin; identification of potential hazardous materials within the area of construction; providing new ceilings; repairs to perimeter flashing and painting of interior wall and texture coating of exterior walls; replacement of existing HVAC system with a new multi-zoned/chilled water HVAC system; windows; flooring; upgrade of fire protection, handicap for restrooms and the building structure; all to comply with all current Federal, State and local codes, regulations and requirements. Total A-E contract shall not exceed $100,000 for a period of 120 days. Tentative Procurement Notice date on or about 27 September 1996 with a due date for SF 254/255's 15 days later.
