Sale of marked pine and unmarked sweetgum trees in Record Units 41 and 44 (units total approximately 77 acres) on the East Reservation, Barksdale AFB LA 71110. There are approximately 1,066 pine sawtimber trees containing an estimated 251,283 board feet International Scale or 169,294 board feet Doyle Scale (Form Class 80), and 775 pine pulpwood trees containing an estimated 39 cords. The sale also includes an estimated 42 cords of sweetgum pulpwood. Log scale based on Form Class 80. Cutting to begin no later than 180 days after award with 365 days to complete removal after contract is awarded. Timber harvesting will not be allowed during the 14-day annual gun deer hunting season for Barksdale Air Force Base. Anticipated issue date is 23 September 1996, anticipated opening date 23 October 1996. A 20 percent bid deposit will be required. This agency will consider bids from all responsible sources. (260)
