Work includes the construction of premanufactured metal carports and foundations in designated parking pad locations or in the same location as existing carports are removed. Work also includes the removal of existing carports including concrete foundations, steel columns, wood framework and bituminous roofing and incidental related work. Base proposal shall be for 2 one-bay carports, 8 two-bay carports, 1 three-bay carport, 14 four-bay carports and 1 six-bay carport. Optional provision for 12 additional carports of varying sizes as indicated in specifications. Estimated cost of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. SIC code is 1542. Performance time is 160 calendar days for base bid. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000.
