70 -- GENERAL-PURPOSE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT SOL N00019-96-R-0062 POC Contact, Lisa Jones, Phone (703)604-2119 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to procure hardware and application software to support a Naval Aviation Computer-Based Technical Training System. This system will be installed at Navy and Marine Corps facilities. The Computer-Based Training System will enhance overall training effectiveness/efficiency and decrease time to train in support of the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO)just-in-time training philosophy and maintenance, aircrew and flight support training programs. The scope of this work encompasses the procurement of training system hardware and application software. Hardware and application software will be commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS). NAVAIR anticipates full and open competition procedures in awarding the solicitation. After review of the responses a determination will be made regarding the opportunity for small business interest. An industry conference is tentatively scheduled for 10 October 1996. The location will be the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Keyport, WA. All interested parties may request a copy of this solicitation.
